Nijmegen is a historic city with an attractive setting in green surroundings, a broad economic base, a young (working-age) population and a social character.

That draws people in: Nijmegen has been growing steadily for 20 years and is expected to continue to do so.

At the same time, it is precisely these quality-of-life factors that come under pressure during periods of growth. Nijmegen, however, treats them as prerequisites for good growth. How can the city preserve and strengthen its identity as an attractive, complete city where it is good to live, work and live life?
