New places where living, working and leisure come togetherHow do we create new places where living, working and leisure don’t clash, but instead reinforce one another? Based on the practical case Nuenen/Collse Hoeve, we explore how area development, regional cooperation and smart use of space can help create new mixed living–working environments. Stijn Steenbakkers, alderman of the gemeente Eindhoven, provides the broader regional and administrative perspective on the balance between the economy, growth, quality of life and use of space. Jeroen Gerritsen of Panattoni adds the developer’s viewpoint from logistics real estate and area development: where are the opportunities to combine functions more intelligently, and what does that require from design, infrastructure and feasibility?
