The pressure on the city is increasing. The housing delivery challenge is growing, while space for work is coming under ever greater strain. That space is precisely essential for a liveable, safe and economically resilient city. In this session, AM and ORAM will discuss how we can better maintain a balance between living and working, and what choices are required to achieve this.

Using the Work in the City programme, we will explore current dilemmas and potential solutions. With practical examples, pointed statements and an interactive panel discussion, we will examine what can be combined and what cannot, which location different types of businesses need, and how governments can steer towards a healthy city-wide economy. This will make clear why space for work deserves a permanent place on the agenda of area development and the economy.
