Timber construction is developing at a rapid pace, from an innovative niche into a mature building method. What does this shift mean for our cities, design practice, collaboration across the value chain, and the way we build?

This timber construction session focuses on inspiring practical examples that show how timber construction is shaping the future of real estate. Through two innovative residential development projects and two forward-looking office buildings, the participating developers and architects share their experiences, design choices, sustainability ambitions, and the technical-financial challenges involved in building with timber.

The projects demonstrate that timber construction can not only help to reduce CO₂ emissions, but also offers opportunities for innovative, healthy, and future-proof buildings. The session highlights growing confidence in timber as a fully fledged building material for both residential schemes, offices, and other commercial properties.

Rotterdam and Amsterdam would be pleased to discuss this with you.
