How do we organise procurements that strengthen quality and encourage collaboration?

The way we procure today places a heavy burden on all parties involved and not always leads to the best outcomes. Differences in requirements and the absence of clear standards make processes unnecessarily complex and costly. At the same time, there is a growing need for an approach that aligns better with the challenges we face: faster, more carefully, and with a focus on long-term quality.

In this session, among others, Jan Peter Wingender, board member of the BNA, Wilco Kraamer of Rijksvastgoedbedrijf and Ninke Happel of Happel Cornelisse Verhoeven will speak with each other and with the public about the future of procurement.

At the centre is the question of how we can create a practice in which quality weighs more heavily, processes are more transparent, and parties connect better with one another from the very beginning. With attention to feasibility, reuse, deployment of capacity and cost control on both sides of the table, we will explore how procurement can contribute to better projects and a healthier collaboration across the entire construction chain.

We will discuss together which concrete steps are needed to bring this new procurement approach into practice.
