How do you value biodiversity, circularity and social impact in area development? And more importantly: why does the market still manage to incorporate that societal value into valuations and investment decisions only with difficulty? During this session, Ronald Huikeshoven from AM and Ronald Daalman from Fakton speak with one another, moderated by Meike de Jong, about the changing reality of real estate valuation.

The impetus is RICS’ updated sustainability guidelines. An important step, but do these frameworks already align sufficiently with the practice of boundary-pushing area development? And how do they relate to the increasingly stringent ESG requirements imposed by real estate investors, banks and pension funds?
