The nominees for the PROVADA Inspiration Award 2026 have been announced! Three inspiring professionals who are truly making a difference in the industry are competing for the title. Meet the nominees:
Brabant is rapidly developing into one of the most attractive urban regions in Northwestern Europe. Strong economic growth, leading knowledge and innovation sectors, and the growing demand for housing and amenities not only create a solid urban development agenda, but also deliver challenging and promising investment opportunities.
This momentum comes together in BrabantStad: a powerful network in which the cities of Brabant operate jointly as one internationally competitive urban region. Within this network, distinctive investment opportunities emerge, ranging from large-scale area developments and inner-city transformations to innovative mixed-use districts, alongside a housing delivery programme of almost 200,000 homes up to 2035.
In close collaboration with the province and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, BrabantStad, within the NOVEX-area Stedelijk Brabant, works on integrated urban development in which living, working, mobility and amenities go hand in hand. This partnership creates scale, accelerates processes, and offers (international) investors greater certainty and predictability.
With administrative stability, a clear long-term vision, and active public partners, Brabant provides a solid foundation for investment. Combined with a strong international ecosystem - from high-tech and logistics to life sciences and the creative industry - and excellent knowledge institutions, this is where a head start is created.
During the Brabant Investment Lunch, Annemarie Leeuwen (Bayerische Landesbank), Ralph Willems (Catella IM Benelux), Olga Jansen (CBRE), Walter Stam (Akro Consult) and Sidney van den Berg (Alderman of the municipality of Oss and Chair of BrabantStad) share their vision on the international investment climate of Brabant. Opening PROVADA 2026: Connecting Defence and Real Estate
On Tuesday 9 June at 10:00 AM, PROVADA will be officially opened by Lieutenant General Dick van Ingen, Deputy Director-General of Policy at the Ministry of Defence. Through his contribution, PROVADA underlines the current and growing intersections between Defence and the real estate sector.
At the Innovation Café, applicable innovations in area development take centre stage
During PROVADA, BouwLab R&Do and The Green Village will be providing the content programming for the Innovation Café. In collaboration with partners BPD, COD and VORM, and the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, and the DMI Ecosystem, one central question takes the lead: how do we move innovation faster from idea to application?
Foreign capital needed to meet housing construction targets
The fiscal threshold for foreign pension funds and insurers to invest in the Dutch housing market must be significantly lowered. That is the view of Mark Siezen, CEO of asset manager Bouwinvest. 'Foreign capital is absolutely essential to meet the enormous housing construction challenge. That requires a stable housing policy and fiscal climate. I am hopeful: the new minister recognises this and will act on it.'
International Investment Day at PROVADA: programme announced
Following the earlier announcement of the launch of the International Investment Day, PROVADA now presents the full programme for Thursday, 11 June 2026. As the largest real estate exhibition in the Netherlands, PROVADA brings together leading market parties for a day of insights, discussion and networking. The newly introduced international investment programme—developed in collaboration with INREV, Holland Metropole and the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning—offers international investors direct access to key developments, policy perspectives and investment opportunities in the Dutch market.
