

Noël Vergunst (1969) has been an alderman for urban development, spatial planning, cultural heritage, land policy and culture since May 2018. From 2006-2018, Noël Vergunst was a member of the municipal council in Nijmegen; from 2008-2013 as the chair of the parliamentary group. He was a member of the Euregioraad Rhine-Waal from 2010-2014.
Vergunst studied political science at Radboud University Nijmegen and completed his PhD in the social sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He worked as a university lecturer in political science at Vrije Universiteit and as a project manager for quality assurance in higher education at Quality Assurance Netherlands Universities (QANU) in Utrecht. In 2006, Noël Vergunst became an adviser for quality assurance (IOWO) at Radboud University; from 2012 he was head of the Education Support department at this university.
