In the meantime, the new Cabinet and newly appointed housing minister Elanor Boekholt-O’Sullivan have also come to realise that re-building is too ambitious to make up the housing shortage. There is now even more focus on existing real estate—for example, for the hotel lease market—by splitting homes or through the transformation of non-residential properties, including offices.
