Floris Heijligers is Senior Estates Manager EMEA at Dyson and is responsible for real estate and facilities for all Dyson offices and service centres within EMEA. From his role within Market Estates, he links portfolio and location strategy to the day-to-day reality for users, service continuity and cost control.
During the session “The Netherlands in the European Headquarters Race”, part of the International Investment Day programme, Floris brings the occupier perspective to European HQ location selection. He highlights how the liveability of the city, a strong talent pool and the flywheel effect—where talent attracts talent—are directly linked to the strength of a location. At the same time, he sharpens the business case: the prestige of the building and location is valuable, but it must be balanced with the structural affordability of office square metres, so that employees have an attractive workplace without organisations paying disproportionately.
