In a time when social connection is no longer a given, the need is growing for residential environments in which meeting, involvement and looking out for one another are central. During this session, Timpaan, a real estate and area developer, explores the living concept ‘Verbonden wonen’: an approach in which not only the physical living environment, but especially the social cohesion, determines whether an area development will be successful.

Connected living makes meeting and social support a matter of course. But how do we do that? And what opportunities and challenges emerge? What does it mean for the role of the various chain partners and real estate developers, who increasingly remain involved in an area even after completion?

Led by Ingeborg de Jong (Director Timpaan), we will enter into discussion with the various panel members, each sharing their own perspective and experiences on the topic.

  • Mijke Rood (architect at Kraaijvanger Architects)
  • Bas Kuyper (co-owner of Kuyper & Blom Makelaars)
  • Hilke Batist (urban planner at Wissing ruimtelijke denkers)
  • Nick de Goeij (acquisition manager at Timpaan)
