Complete and healthy neighbourhoods reduce healthcare costs.
The value of preventive area development.

Investing in complete and healthy neighbourhoods pays off. Good homes, a liveable environment and strong social cohesion contribute not only to housing quality, but also to better health and a lower healthcare demand.

By investing upfront now, the pressure on the social domain and healthcare, such as general practitioner care and mental healthcare, can be reduced structurally.

During PROVADA, the Urbanisation Alliance shows how housing construction, area development and the social domain can reinforce one another. In a panel discussion, we explore the societal and financial value of preventive area development. Based on practical experience, we discuss how living, health and liveability can be better connected, which parties play what role, and what this requires in terms of collaboration and funding.
