Peter Kievoet

My name is Peter Kievoet (1969). I am an experienced advisor, (interim) manager, and trainer/coach with a passion for people, meaning, and continuous renewal. My strength lies in managing relationships at the intersection of political-administrative ambitions, administrative implementation capacity, and societal support. I am deeply familiar with the public sector and have held various leadership roles with a high political risk in national and municipal government: as a political advisor to ministers and municipal leaders, and as a line manager and director within departments and municipalities.

Currently, I work as the Director of Economy, Mobility, and Space at the Urban Development Department of The Hague Municipality. I find the challenges and opportunities of the Netherlands' third-largest city in Urban Development fascinating. To align all competing claims for space in the most densely populated city in the Netherlands, holistic thinking, acting, and planning are required. It demands urban development over plot development. And it requires a transition in our approach at The Hague Municipality. That is what I am dedicated to.
