Jan van de Ree

Jan has been working at the Rotterdam municipality since 2000. He started as a project manager for housing plans, infrastructure projects, redesign of outdoor spaces, and area developments. He then spent several years as program manager for the 'existing housing stock,' focusing on renovating and properly maintaining private homes and making agreements with housing corporations about upgrading their housing stock. Since 2010, Jan has acted as an official client; in recent years, as a city centre area developer within the Urban Development Cluster. In that role, he is the primary point of contact for project developers and investors regarding projects in the city centre and the client for the project managers of Urban Development working in the city centre. Jan lives with his family in Rotterdam with much joy — as could be expected.
