Pablo van der Lugt

Pablo van der Lugt is Ambassador for Sustainability & Circularity at Lister. In this role, he shares responsibility for Lister's sustainability policy. Pablo studied at TU Delft, earning an MSc in Construction Management and a PhD in Industrial Design Engineering (environmental impact of building materials). After his promotion, Pablo held various roles in the construction industry, focusing on greening construction and the use of bio-based materials. He remains connected to academia as a guest lecturer and a pioneer in bio-based construction at TU Delft and the AMS Institute. He also speaks and writes regularly on this topic. He has authored several (scientific) articles and books, including two bestsellers, Booming Bamboo and Tomorrow’s Timber, which has now been translated into Dutch. Several of his lectures are available online, including his TED talk and Pecha Kucha on bio-based construction and his keynote address at Pakhuis de Zwijger.
