Mathew Vola

Mathew Vola is the Director of Sustainable Development at Arup. As a structural engineer, project manager, and project director, he has worked on numerous groundbreaking projects in Europe, Australia, and Asia. For Mathew, sustainability is paramount, and he focuses on the use of innovative digital tools. Some notable projects led by Mathew include the timber-hybrid residential tower Haut, the educational building Echo (TU Delft), and the parametrically designed apartment complex Elements in Amsterdam. In 2021, Mathew was named Structural Engineer of the Year by the industry association VN Constructeurs.
