Lode Messemaker

Lode is responsible for the area development of Utrecht's historic city center. Utrecht is the fastest-growing city in the Netherlands. This offers opportunities but also requires choices. The Urban Environment Vision Center 2040 describes how we want the city center to look in 20 years. It concerns beauty, diversity, resilience, and a relaxed environment. Lode was trained as a Social Geographer and has previously worked for the Rotterdam municipality at the engineering bureau, an innovation team, and the project management bureau. Within the Utrecht municipality, he is the client for project managers working on spatial developments in the city center.
