Josja van der Veer

With her team, Josja is responsible for responsible growth and sustainable challenges that Amsterdam will face in the coming decades. This involves making decisions in sometimes conflicting dilemmas. Together with Amsterdammers, the Amsterdam 2050 Environmental Vision has been developed with five long-term options: radically greening, polycentric development, growth within boundaries, sustainable & healthy movement, and co-creating the city. Collaboration with all stakeholders in the Metropolitan Area (MRA) is paramount.

Background
Van de Veer has held various roles in urban development throughout her career. From researcher, advisor, to urban developer, investor, and client for the VU Campus in the Knowledge Quarter Zuidas. Van de Veer has gained experience in diverse land development challenges in several major cities. She is a connector and creates synergy between the worlds of the market and the government.
