Hettie Politiek

Throughout her career, Hettie Politiek has been involved in various urban renewal and area development projects in different roles.

Currently, she is the Program Director for Large-Scale Housing Locations, responsible for organizing the further realization of the 17 large-scale housing locations in the Netherlands on behalf of the government.

She does this together with the Ministries of Infrastructure and Water Management, Economic Affairs, and Spatial Planning, as well as the local municipalities where these locations are situated.

Almost half of the housing target in the Netherlands (420,000 homes) up to 2032 is to be realized on these 17 large-scale locations, a societal challenge that cannot be achieved without active involvement from all government levels and building parties.
