Dinant te Brinke
Chairman of the Board BAM Wonen

Dinant te Brinke completed his study in Technical Business Administration at the University of Twente in 1994. After his studies, he immediately entered the construction industry. Following an initiation at Heijmans, Dinant (52) has been employed by BAM since 1997. After several years, he shifted within BAM from project work to asset management and maintenance. Here, he discovered the importance of long-term customer relationships for the continuity of a construction company. He subsequently applied this knowledge to innovative collaboration models within utility projects. Dinant has always been a proponent of sustainable and future-proof construction and maintenance. The realization of the Municipality Hall in Brummen in 2011—a circular, reassemblable wooden building—was a turning point in his thinking. The experiences he gained from this progressive project, among others, he brought to BAM Wonen, where he has been CEO since 2018. In this role, his passion for long-term collaborations, circular, and future-proof building takes precedence. He is involved in several national agreements and manifestos aimed at promoting circularity, climate adaptation, and nature-inclusive construction. He is also closely involved in developing the House of the Future, which focuses on affordability, sustainability, design freedom, and well-being.
