Daan van der Vorm

Daan van der Vorm is from the third generation of the national developer and builder VORM. Thirty years ago, Daan took over from his father, who in turn took over the company from the founder—his father—in 1978. Along with CEO Hans Meurs, Daan van der Vorm leads the company. They transformed VORM from a Rotterdam-based builder into a successful nationally operating developer. In 2019, Vastgoedmarkt named Van der Vorm the Real Estate Man of the Year.

VORM has now existed for 102 years. What Daan loves most about working at VORM: "That we create something that remains standing for a long time. And that, usually, all the effort pays off. For example, we transformed old hospital buildings with horizontal floor plans in Noordwijk into beautiful, vertical city houses. We also developed beautiful urban villas on the site. That project took years to get off the ground, but now those buildings are incredibly beautiful. That it eventually works out is truly the best part of our profession."
