
Together with her team, Josja is responsible for responsible growth and sustainable challenges that Amsterdam will face in the coming decades. This involves making choices in sometimes conflicting dilemmas. Together with Amsterdammers, the Amsterdam 2050 Environmental Vision has been developed with five long-term options: rigorous greening, polycentric development, growth within boundaries, sustainable & healthy movement, and making the city together. Collaboration with all stakeholders in the Metropolitan Region Amsterdam is paramount.
Van de Veer has held various roles in urban development throughout her career. From researcher and advisor to area developer, investor, and client for the VU Campus in the Knowledge Quarter Zuidas. Van der Veer has gained experience in a wide range of regional challenges in different large cities. She is a connector and creates synergy between the worlds of the market and the government.
