Rick van den Berg

Rick van den Berg (1975) works from the province on 12 urban area development projects in Brabant. Through the Ontwikkelbedrijf, the province invests together with municipalities in urban areas to help them redevelop. Think of the Fellenoord project in Eindhoven, where an underground bus station is being realised together with more than 6,000 homes, the knowledge quarter in Tilburg, or the redevelopment of the 24 ha site of the former sugar factory near the station in Breda. How the province gets involved is determined on a case-by-case basis, based on the greatest added value in order to kick-start and deliver the urban area development. Rick provides leadership to the development company, which consists of real estate specialists, project managers and town planners.
