The ambition is clear: more homes, delivered faster. But what if the familiar obstacles were removed? Procedures would be accelerated, sites would become available, and the lights would turn green. So what would happen then?

During this session, we look beyond nitrogen emissions, grid congestion and permits. Because when homebuilding truly gets up to speed, a new question arises: does the Netherlands have sufficient capacity to fulfil all these ambitions?

Together with Tessa Flantua (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf), Peter van der Gugten (Heijmans Vastgoed) and Jelger Arnoldussen (Economisch Instituut voor de Bouw), we explore the limits and possibilities of the Netherlands’ execution capacity. Do we have enough skilled professionals, materials, production capacity and innovation power? And what does it mean if homebuilding has to compete with Defence, infrastructure and the energy transition for the same scarce resources?

From government, the market and academia, a focused conversation emerges about what the Netherlands can truly manage when all signals are green.

We know how to build, build, build. But what is the next step?
