The site is located in the Limmel district, on the banks of the Meuse and within walking distance of Maastricht’s historic city centre. The location is close to the A2, Maastricht Central Station and Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus. The area offers views over the Meuse valley and nature areas in the immediate vicinity.

The area development is about thinking and building in new ways. Work is being done together to create an urban district that is not only physically green, but also makes room for social connectedness, links and meeting places. On Tuesday 9 June at 10:00 AM, PROVADA will be officially opened by Lieutenant General Dick van Ingen, Deputy Director-General of Policy at the Ministry of Defence. Through his contribution, PROVADA underlines the current and growing intersections between Defence and the real estate sector.

The fiscal threshold for foreign pension funds and insurers to invest in the Dutch housing market must be significantly lowered. That is the view of Mark Siezen, CEO of asset manager Bouwinvest. 'Foreign capital is absolutely essential to meet the enormous housing construction challenge. That requires a stable housing policy and fiscal climate. I am hopeful: the new minister recognises this and will act on it.'
