Ballast Nedam is back at PROVADA

Ballast Nedam is back. And how! Having recently been acquired by the Turkish family firm Renaissance, the construction company is forging a new future with a clear vision: Ballast Nedam aims to be the most competitive construction company in the market and to rank among the top three in the Netherlands. “It’s our workforce of over 2,000 employees who will ultimately enable us to meet that objective,” says Edwin de Kuiper, Chief Business Development Officer (pictured right). “They are our formula for success. With their knowledge, skills and entrepreneurship bolstered by those of our Renaissance colleagues and hard work, we can achieve our goal.”

After the transition, Ballast Nedam is maintaining its focus on its core activities. “As a result,” says Jochem van Uden, Building Commercial Director (pictured left), “many projects have been delivered to our clients’ satisfaction, such as the new Hilton Hotel at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the Thialf stadium, the Kustwerk Katwijk car park and the cradle-to-cradle municipal office in the Dutch city of Venlo. We’re really proud of that. Plus there are some very exciting projects in the pipeline, including the KLM Crown Lounge at Schiphol and the Amsterdam ArenA in 2020, involving a major structural upgrade. There’s plenty to look forward to and discuss, so we hope to seeing you at PROVADA!”
